Whose Live Anyway? Wednesday - November 16, 2011 

So here’s my fanaccount for Whose Live. If you guys didn’t know, I went to LA this past week for an animation convention down at Burbank; CTNX. My friend Heather and I also went to Whose Live on Wednesday on the way.

Before the show

Once we got to the Theater at the school, we saw a HUGE line for the Will Call. Thank goodness we’ve purchased our tickets a head of time. But we weren’t exactly lucky since we had to stand outside in the cold waiting for them to open the doors.

During the show

The show was FUCKING amazing! Now I’ve never seen these guys live EVER in my life. I mean watching them on TV shows I crack up like crazy as it is, but when it was live, I cracked up so much more. I didn’t think it was possible, but apparently it is…

There was a lot of touching, whispering, looking at each other between Jeff and Chip for all you Cheffs out there. I WISH I could have taken pictures or videos of them.

I’ve noticed, Jeff and Chip looking over every once in a while, but I’m sure he couldn’t see me…LOL!! Chip jumped off the stage a few times and it was amazing. 

Jeff DID use Klaus the evil ski instructor and he DID win.

After the show

After the show my friend and I had absolutely no clue where to go to meet the guys. Though we sat at the entrance lobby area catching our breathes and cooling down a little bit from all the excitement. We over heard some people saying that they wanted to go back stage or something, and followed them down these stairs. There was a girl who was called up on stage during the show and was waiting there as well. I asked one of the people who was working there if there was anyway to give my drawings to Jeff Davis. At this point, I didn’t care too much to even get a picture with any of them, I just want to give Jeff my art. The lady told me that she wasn’t too sure and to wait for another lady who was inside. The girl who went up on stage asked to see my art and was familiar with the tie clips drawing. She was holding onto my drawings as though she was for sure going to see Jeff Davis.

Then a lady came out and told us “Oh sorry, they’re not here anymore” and that they had gone and left in their limo. I asked the lady if there was any way if I could just give my drawings that I’ve done to Jeff. She said she’d take my drawings to hand to “Steve” who would hand it to Jeff since I’ve traveled so far to see the show. A few moments later she came back without my drawings and said that they’re gone for good and another lady said “You can see if you can catch them outside.” I was upset, the lady took my drawings and didn’t tell me if they found someone or whatever. I was pretty much like “WHERE BLEEP ARE MY DRAWINGS?” I mean, I’ve spent time and effort into those drawings and she doesn’t even bother about telling me what happened to them. At least return the drawings to me. I was disappointed and my friend agreed on how messed up it was. Thinking that I’ve pretty much lost my chance to meet the guys face to face AND that I’ve lost my drawings, my friend and I worked our way out of the building.

On the side of the building, we saw a crowd of people waiting for the cast. Soon enough Chip Esten came out from the doors saying, “HEY! You guys are so awesome for waiting!” and everyone crowded around him.  Greg Proops came out as well but wandered to the side of the stairs to smoke. Bob Derkach came out carrying his equipment. Ryan Stiles came out soon after and quickly wandered back inside when he saw the crowd as a joke. My friend and I stood and waited for anyone of the guys to talk to.

Soon enough Jeff Davis came out and I spotted my drawings in his hands. I was super excited and walked over to the side of the stairs and said “JEFF! YAY! You got my drawings!” Jeff walked to the side of the stairs where I was and said “Oh you drew these? These are great!” and asked for my name since he couldn’t read my signature “Jim? It kind of looks like Jim right?”

He loved the Doctor Who drawing I did and said that his friend will be jealous. Then he said “I’ll be right back. I want to put these in the car so it won’t get ruined.”

There was a line of people behind us waiting for Jeff I’m guessing, but Jeff came around from behind the van back to where we were and gestured me over for a picture. I thanked him and asked if I could give him a hug.

At some point my friend tried to turn off my camera, but since the power button as so close she accidentally took a picture. Jeff quickly glanced over when he saw the flash. “Oops! Sorry! I was trying to turn it off! I swear!” My poor embarrassed friend.

“That better have been of my feet!”

“I’m pretty sure it was.”

God he was gorgeous even though I could tell he was exhausted and he sounded as though he was loosing his voice. The whole time I just couldn’t believe that he was standing in front of me, talking to me.

“Are the arts originals?”

“Yeah, they’re originals.”

“Awww I can’t take them if they’re the originals. You should just give me the copies.” My friend said that I had copies so it’s not too bad. I usually give originals as gifts anyway. “Thank you so much!” He asked me if art was what I do as my job and if I worked at a studio.

“No…not yet,” I frowned.

He started talking about how he knows some people who worked at Disney, Dreamworks, etc. then talked about a friend who started off as a programmer or software designer or something…someone who was not so important was now a 3D rigger for Disney. I was amazed and found it even more sexy that he knew about Maya. Sadly our conversation had to come to end when he noticed all the people still waiting. He thanked us for coming out and for the drawings.

We wondered over to Chip who seemed to have only one other person around him. I printed out Izzy’s drawings and told Chip “Hey Chip! I have something for you. My friend in Norway is a huge fan of yours and had asked me to print these out to give to you. You probably recognize her work?”

Chip was really surprised and looked through the papers, “Oh wow! She’s really talented! Sees the Amantha Teven drawing & the one with Jeff, Chip, and Greg drawing Did you show these to Jeff?”

“.___. No…”

“Wow, these are for me?”

“Yes!”

“Thank you so much for giving them to me! Will you take a picture with me?”

And we posed for pictures holding the papers. Then Chip asked if we had a piece of paper or something, but the only thing we had was the program. He took that and found a page and asked how to spell Izzy’s name. He wrote out “THANK YOU ISELIN” and my friend and I took pictures of him holding his note. He thanked us, asked for our names, and shook our hands.

Ryan was the next one free and we asked to take a picture with him. He was so tall that he had to bend down. After Ryan, it was Greg’s turn, but my friend said she wanted a picture with Jeff as well. So we stood between Greg and Jeff to see who would be free first. I didn’t realize it, but apparently I was staring at Jeff, while we waited. I didn’t realize I was staring until I saw Jeff looking over at me. He simply smiled and waved. Being the stupid sappy fangirl that I am, I blushed, smiled, and waved back at him. That amazing smile and wave is forever planted in my brain. My friend saw and made fun of me for it.  Finally Greg was free and we asked if we could take pictures with him. He called me baby and I felt his face lean in over the side of my face.

We thanked him and looked for Jeff, but he was no where to be found.  We were like “Oh no!” we walked over to the side of the van and saw Jeff sitting in the front seat. “Hey Jeff? Sorry to bother you, but my friend wanted to take a picture with you.” He quickly came out, took pictures, my friend pointed out “Oh my God you guys are all so tall.” “Yeah, we’re tall boys” Then after the pictures he thanked us both for coming out to see the show. The walk back to my car, we were just in the high from the show and actually got the chance to see the guys after the show. It was a very successful first time Whose Live show~
